Both Part A and Part B of our case were taught to the PGP class at IIMA last week with 55 students in the room. Usually, my father and I attend these sessions together and have an amazing bonding time. This time, I couldn’t and was sad that I was missing out.
But then came the feedback.
From my father’s Q&A session with the class, and from what Professor Chitra later shared with me, it turned out to be one of those discussions where curiosity refuses to end. The questions kept coming. The debate kept deepening. What was planned as a 15 minute session stretched into a two hour conversation.
I am just so thankful for this opportunity. This case was a true team effort, and it is humbling to see the work we did together spark such a deep discussion. I'm grateful to my co-authors for the collaboration, to my father for his perspective in the room, and to Professor Chitra, whose ability to hold space for thoughtful discussion is truly special.
They were so absorbed in the conversation that no one took a picture, so this one is from 2025, when the case was taught to the YEP class. And a bonus picture of my dad next to his old desk from his days at school!
Even after two cases, there’s a sense that the story still has more to say 😉
